Photobike...

I went biking by the beach and stopped by a volleyball game for some photos...

It was bright and sunny. Constructive criticism are welcome (Use comments...)

Photowalk...

Some pics I took while walking around yesterday.

Remembering some people I've met...

A nasty teacher:
This teacher was very nasty to his/her students.
The teacher would be very rude, inconsiderate and
generally disrespectful to the students. After a
few years of teaching, the teacher suffers a
massive stroke, has more than 60% of his/her body
paralyzed and is likely to be bedridden for the
rest of his/her life.

A talented person:
This person came from a good High School, was
intelligent and had good potential. Became a
teacher after he/she graduated. Years pass and
now the person's worrying about retirement ("Not
making enough..." he/she says). Person is not

Remembering some (good) people I've met...

The person who graduated with an English degree:
His/Her mom wanted him/her to be a medical
professional. The persons drifts from one dead-end
job to another. Conflict with his/her Mother
ensues... The person meets me and asks my advice.
I tell the person that English is a prerequisite
to the legal profession and that he/she should
try the Law profession at first. The person
enrolls in a paralegal course to try it out.
He/She finishes the course and will try to finish
the full Law degree. Person is now earning
significantly more.

The person who started in the kitchen:

Remembering some people I've met...

Here are some people I remember:

A person who borrowed a swiss army knife but
never returned it: While married, he had an
affair and got his mistress pregnant. His wife
is sore at him, of course, and I'm assuming
giving him daily hell for it. Guy turns out to be
a slacker who can't provide for his family.

An ex-"significant other" who basically was nasty
to me throughout the brief relationship: This
person got married to someone 10 years younger.
They both didn't finish college and they have 2
kids. Last I heard, the person has suffered a

Why I like photography...

- I can't draw! I figure a camera can capture an
image better than I do.
- It can be technical. There's so much to learn
about F-stops, ISO, Spot-metering etc.

However...
- It's expensive! A decent DSLR camera body & lens
can lighten your wallet/purse of about $2,000.
And it never ends! There will always be the
latest and greatest photography gear.

Unfortunately, I didn't run today. Running is sooo
boring and I've other things to do. I did lift
a little though. And I tried as much as I could to
catch up on work.

Tried new beers last night; Kwak, Christoffel
Blonde and Leipziger. Interesting flavors... The
fries and onion rings that came with it didn't
help my weightloss effort. But then again,
"In heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink it here..."

I'm back to work and as usual, things piled up.

Ran for 20 minutes this morning. then lifted
after. My endurance is sooo bad that by lunchtime
I'm ready for a nap.

My goal is to run 25 miles per week. Assuming I
workout 5 days/week, that means 5 miles a day. I
can't run 5 miles straight (yet). So I figure,
I'll run 2.5 miles in the morning and 2.5 miles
at night.

Quite challenging...

Took a short break from work. Worked out yesterday
and I'm very sore today... Endurance is a problem
and I'll have to work on it. If only running on a
treadmill wasn't sooo boring...

Spent the time resting and recovering; I guess I
was really tired. No wonder I easily got sick &
injured.

Got a lot of things done in the meanwhile. Caught
up on some chores, errands, movies and books.
