I was going through my hard drive and I realized I
had too much files! Audio books, pdf's, anime etc.
And I've not even begun to listen/watch. No
wonder I feel overwhelmed. Oh well, time to
listen and watch... Then delete!!! After this, no
more!!!

I've already cut down on my physical "stuff".
Now it's time to cut down on my "digital stuff".

Well, maybe stay updated on Bleach and Naruto
Shippuuden...

Life in Academia

I've spent my time in Academia as both student
and teacher.

My personal observations on teachers:
- Some were just good students who got good
grades. They simply cannot teach. They
accepted the teaching position because
they probably needed the money or the
experience.
- They may be experts in one field, but are
horrible in other fields (Sometimes lacking
even common sense.).
- They have their own biases.

In other words, teachers are human too! Though

My Career

Looking back, it has been an interesting career.
My job constantly changes and my skillset
increases each time.

What does the future hold for me? I don't know
but if changes happen, I'll try to move fast. For
me, THE ABILITY TO LEARN FAST AND ADAPT QUICKLY
is an important skill.

Teachers I liked

The teachers I remembered (and cared for) were
intellectually stimulating and challenging.
They'd make you think and curious enough to
WANT to learn.

They wouldn't threaten, yell or harrass me to
learn. Looking back, these were mostly teachers
who chose to be in that profession.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,
then I guess I've flattered them; I became a
teacher too.

I didn't last as a teacher though. I'd still
teach if I had more money. Perhaps one day...

I'm finally managing time better. I've more time
to go out now and exercise more. Now if running
just weren't so boring...

Amazingly, now that I have more time, more people
are calling me for assistance on various tasks...
Must be coincidence.. Or is it?

Markets continue to drop but this is (hopefully)
temporary. Just the same, it's a good time to
look for stock bargains. It's "buy low, sell high"
to make a profit, right?

SIGH... Money... Hard to earn, easy to lose...

I went out to a coffeehouse and had a conversation with a group of people there... (Yes, I can walk now; No more pain!).

I've had interesting conversations ranging from economics, psychology, computers, security, culture and systems/processes.

It's hard to hold multiple conversations at the same time... But I think I did well... I couldn't take any pictures due to the lighting conditions.

So I try to run a little thinking that my foot has healed.

WRONG!!! I wake up in the middle of the night with excruciating foot pain!!!

Lesson? Even when there's no pain, rest a little more.
